Soundtrack: "Modern Art" by Art Brut
Hanna and Dash were both in the Whitney Biennial so Rivington Arms (click on the link for lots of pictures of good art) threw them a lovely dinner party after the opening. It was fun and I drank way too much wine. Here's lady of the hour Hanna (looking very dapper in Armani!) and check out the newly-blonde Meredith behind her!
Hanna and her ladyfriend Mika --what an art world power-couple these two are! Ha ha ha! Corny but TRUE.
Dash... is not a crime.
Those little bottle-shaped party poppers are very startling.
Carol amongst the piles and piles of food they kept bringing out.
Terence, Amy and Garrick
Kid America
Poor Aaron, they wouldn't let him in. He was outside in the freezing cold, peering in the window at all the food and festivity like an orphan on Christmas.
P.S. Heh heh, what's going on with that girl over there on the right?
Gloria and Shawn
Chris and Blonde Meredith smoking outside in the freezing cold. Don't they look cold in this picture? It was so cold.
Ryan, Dan (another Biennial guy!), Lola and Raina
After the dinner we ended up at Passerby. Here are Ben (who looks so pretty in this picture!) and Lizzi (who always looks pretty).
A rare Reena Spaulings sighting.
Ryan's trying to be a cool stoner now, but it doesn't work cuz every time he smokes he gets really freaked out and has to go home. It's so funny, he was all panicked, going, "Where ARE we??? I feel like we're in POLAND!"
He was also under the delusion that he looks exactly like Paul Newman. (P.S. I'm sure Kent explained why he got salad-dressing-era Paul tattooed on his arm, but I cannot for the life of me remember. Kent?)
Oh man. I have to say, it was pretty strong stuff!
Congratulations to Hanna and all my Whitney Biennial friends!
