Soundtrack: "Goodbye Earl" - Dixie Chicks

Gavin and Emily had a brunch on that marathon day when they
had that marathon. I slept through the marathon but I did see the
streets covered in a bajillion discarded dixie cups. That was cool.
I bet all those runners had to pee like a motherfucker.

Whoa, a lot of rules at the McInnes house. It's like, totally heavy
vibes man.

Less than 2 months old and already lil' Sophie's warding off the paparazzi like a pro!

Baby? Crying baby anyone?

All the ladies were gathered in one corner oohing and ahhing over cute baby clothes...

While the menfolk escaped up to the roof to talk about sports or cars or whatever.

Lief was watching cartoons and stayed in this exact position for 2 hours.
Then Gavin and Sophie did a little dance routine. Nothing gets the big
yucks like a moonwalking baby!

Later that night Emily got to leave her house sans baby for like the first time ever for a rare karaoke
treat! She killed it on Christina Whatshername's "Beautiful."

It was just me and Lez and Emily and Annabel, so we used it as a practice sesh to try out new
material. I tried "Saturday In The Park" and "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight" but failed to
excite. I did better with "A Different Drum"--officially my new staple--and a duet with Lesley on the
Dixie Chicks' "Goodbye Earl" which ruled! Don't front on the Dixie Chicks--that song is the jam.
A song about a douchebag husband who beats up his wife so then the wife and her best friend kill him
by poisoning him with black-eyed peas? Chills!
So the girls bought some land
and a roadside stand
out on highway 109,
They sell Tennessee ham
and strawberry jam
and they don't lose any sleep at night,
