Soundtrack: "Living Proof" - Cat Power
Abby took me to see her friends' band the Pink Mountaintops at Knitting Factory. These guys here were the opening band. They're called Catfish Haven and holeee shit they got me SO stoned. Hi, favorite new band!
I quite enjoyed the Pink Mountaintops. I quite enjoyed being really stoned for it too. That was a perfect combo. Here's Kim, Ivan and Abby getting ready to go onstage with their weird tamborines and shakey things and whatnot for the big group jam sesh finale. Actually, the thing Abby's holding is like, some kind of thunder machine. You just gently shake it and the loudest, most realistic thunder sounds ever come out of it. I love it! Someone get me one for my birthday next week please!
Then on Saturday night me and Ryan went to see Cat Power. She had a big band with backup singers and everything... it was just beautiful.
Then we wiped our tears away and hightailed it over to the Vice photo show opening, which was already way past full insanity mode.
Thalia did a bang-up job with crowd control.
Big yay to Patrick for putting together all that awesome eye-candy.
Lana's so cool she even has her very own personal stalker. He was lurking not 10 feet away at the opening and he kept calling her cell over and over. Such excitement! Color me jelz! Seriously, where's MY stalker???
Then Gillian slipped me a roofie. Thanks lady!
And the rest of the night is lost to the ages...
